Today we are happy to announce that after several weeks of tedious work, we have created the series of Location Intelligence Ecosystem Maps. The maps connect the most prominent startups and companies of the location intelligence ecosystem around the world.

The first virtual map of the series is organized industry’s players by regions: Europe, North and South America, APAC, the Middle East, and Africa. According to multiple sources, the location intelligence industry is projected to grow from USD 10.6 billion in 2019 to USD 32.8 billion by 2027.

Location intelligence is a wide ecosystem of companies that leverage location data using innovative technologies. Location data collection methods and applications vary across industries. Nevertheless, they all aim to provide location data insights for smarter decisions. Such services include predictive analytics, tracking patterns and trends related to human movements, support on risk management, and streamlining services and operations of companies.

The tools of location intelligence can be applied in different areas, including emergency management, workforce management, asset management, facility management, risk management, remote monitoring, sales and marketing optimization, customer relationship management (CRM), and social networking platforms with the Geographic Information System (GIS).

Over the last few years, location intelligence solutions were gaining popularity and are being adopted in various sectors such as retail, real estate, government and defense, IT and telecom, utilities and energy, media, transportation, logistics, finance, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and smart cities.

Especially in North America and Europe, as can be seen from the map, a significant number of companies drive innovations in the location analytics space.

The Asia Pacific region is also expected to grow faster due to the increased number of smartphone users, improvements in networking technologies, the rising number of service providers, and the major use of social media.
